Effect of Low Frequency Sound on Menopausal SymptomsTrenton State College This research study, based on Martha Roger's conceptual model, tested whether a nursing intervention using noninvasive, low frequency sound tapes would alter menopausal symptoms. An experimental pretest-posttest design was used to collect data on 40 women. Findings include a significant decrease in frequency of symptoms, somatic symptoms and psychological symptoms. No difference was found between groups with regard to number of symptoms or psychosomatic symptoms.
