Companionship, Loss, and Taking Risks

A Mosaic of Applied Holism

This article describes personal and professional encounters in the life of a nurse who reflects on holism and its place in these experiences. In an attempt to grow and care for ourselves and others, holistic principles such as intention, caring presence, attention to environment, and rituals can provide structure, inspiration, and comfort.
